Economic Events
As discussed in the Morning Briefing post - there are a few sites that I like and visit each day; this is not ALL THE SITES - just ones that I have found to be useful over the years. I have noticed that there are a lot of phone and tablet apps that are also good for this as well.
You should look to expand your list - constantly finding new and better resources is part of what we have to do as traders.
Events
These (4) sites offer today's economic events - some are for the USA only and some cover events around the world. We want to look at multiple sites to see what each has to offer each day.
Please remember that these are not all of the events today! We will never have a complete list.
Financial Juice
Financial Juice is not only for events today - it also collects news from other sites and keeps you up-to-speed with market moving news throughout the trading day. I recommend you open a free account and use the site filter to eliminate the news sources you don't want (like CNN, FOX News, or CNBC for example). This is a great website - and even a free account has access to features like "Tick Stream" - which is an order flow tool or the MOO and MOC orders.
Market Briefing
Financial Juice also publishes a Premarket Briefing and an After Market Briefing for Asia, Europe, and the USA which is great to see what is on the table today or what moved markets today. These briefings are a great tool - to help newer traders see the events that have impacted the markets - to understand “what happened” overnight or what could happen today.
Market Moving News
Financial Juice is a great resource for what is currently moving markets. They have an “alert” post that is red - and is easily spotted. When or if something has happened or if someone important says something that could move markets - the alert is often posted with a chart showing how the markets reacted when the news hit.

While it's easy to consider looking at the charts and ignoring the news - the fact is - we want to know "why" a market is moving to understand if that move will continue or if it's a 'flash n pass' event. We want to know when these "known unknown" events are going to hit to avoid getting run over. We can anticipate these events and avoid them - but we can also see them coming and begin to understand why a market is not moving today (like - because it's waiting on the data to hit).
The list above is not all the events - just the most popular ones. Outside of that - we have things (listed below) that are important to consider as well...
Other Events of Note
There are other events worth considering - as traders these can sneak up on us. I am only listing a few here - which I hope shows how often things run in a cycle and we CAN anticipate market events.
Bit Coin Conference - hosted by Bitcoin Magazine. In recent years, it has been held in Miami and attracts thousands of attendees, including industry leaders, developers, and enthusiasts.
Jackson Hole - Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium is an annual event hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City & typically comes in August. This symposium is one of the most significant gatherings for central bankers, economists, and financial market participants
AAPL: "new iPhone models" release - each September.
AMZN: Amazon Prime in July and Prime Big Deal in October.
GOOGL: Google I/O This developer conference typically takes place in May and showcases Google’s latest innovations and product announcements
MSFT: Microsoft has multiple events through the year - including Microsoft Build in May, Microsoft Ignite in Nov and a new Microsoft AI Tour that runs multiple times a year.
NVDA: earnings are a critical event in markets right now- a "validation" that everything AI is moving forward.
This list is ever-evolving and can be expanded on for banks, realestate, energy companies, EV companies... it's an endless list.
Obviously - in the modern trading era the Semiconductor space is a very important space as it ties into "All things AI" - so working up a list of AI specific events would be beneficial to traders.
